Rossbach & O’Connor respects and promotes the diversity that defines our country. We also recognize that we can always do more to promote college access for all students.
Given the grievous situation our country is experiencing surrounding race, we are taking actionable steps to promote change that leads to equity.
We pledge to provide 526 hours of college and test-prep services. This number, 526, represents 526 seconds –- the 8 minutes and 46 seconds that George Floyd suffered immediately before his death.
We will provide access to our library of anti-racist literature, history books, podcasts, and articles so that students can explore the concepts of deep racism – both of color and class.
We will promote community speakers who strive to engage, educate, and enlighten.
We will grow a library of literature authored by people of color.
We will strive to expand our team with professionals whose backgrounds reflect diversity.
We will fulfill our roles as mentors, advisors, and teachers. In the time that we spend with young people, helping them to bridge the gap to adulthood and to find their place in our world, we will use our skills to educate for justice, as that is our moral obligation.
